How to Configure Webmin Repository on CentOS/RHEL

Webmin is a 3’rd party RPM repository and Webmin is a web-based graphical tool for Red Hat based systems. This repository can be used in configuring webmin.


Step 1: Import Key

Import Webmin signing key for verifying packages using following command.

# cd /opt
# wget
# rpm --import jcameron-key.asc

Step 2: Create Webmin Repository

Now create repository file with .repo extension under /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory and add following content as per your operating system.

# vim /etc/yum.repos.d/webmin.repo
name=Webmin Distribution Neutral

Step 3: Check Webmin Repository

We can check repository using following command:

# yum repolist
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * base:
 * epel:
 * extras:
 * rpmforge:
 * updates:
